Information stored on your device
Preferences, favorites, saved searches, teams, notes, and learning progress are stored locally on your device. The app does not use a developer-operated account or cloud-syncing service.
You can remove locally stored information with Clear Favorites or Reset App Data in Settings > Preferences > App Data. Deleting the app also removes its local data from the device.
Camera and Photos
Camera and Photos access is optional and is used only when you choose to scan, import, or save Team Builder QR share cards. Team QR content is generated and processed on your device. The app does not upload those images or QR contents to the developer.
You can revoke Camera or Photos access at any time in the device’s Settings app.
App Store purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple. The app receives verified transaction status so it can unlock Pro or confirm a tip; the developer does not receive your payment details. Eligible purchase history remains available through Apple for restoration.
Website and email
This website does not use advertising or analytics scripts. Cloudflare hosts and secures the website and may process limited technical information—such as an IP address, browser information, and request logs—under its own privacy terms.
If you email support, the information you include is used only to understand and respond to your request. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain support records, or meet legal obligations. You may ask for deletion of your support correspondence by emailing privacy@thetypechart.com, subject to any information that must be retained by law.
External services and links
Email, social, App Store, and other links open external apps or websites. Their privacy practices apply once you leave The Type Chart. The app’s reference content may identify third-party products or services, but that does not mean personal information is shared with those parties.
Children’s privacy
The Type Chart does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because no developer-operated account or tracking system is used, the app does not ask users to provide an age or personal profile.
Policy changes
If the app’s data practices change, this policy and the disclosures in App Store Connect will be updated. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest revision.
